Spectators: 6688 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1688, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Colas Carbo took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Yader Oneca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tranqueras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Yader Oneca came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lazaro Barrachina could save by the left post. 9 minutes into the match, Lugo Cañeda sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Lazaro Barrachina threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Lugo Cañeda this time. In the 17thth minute of the game Evaristo Guasch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tranqueras's Rudolfo Castreciones was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tranqueras's zone, Evaristo Guasch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolfo Castreciones came out of the goal and Evaristo Guasch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xantalen Eliseo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 minutes Tranqueras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Confesor Larrave who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Confesor Larrave almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tranqueras's Rudolfo Castreciones did a great save. When C.A. RIVER PLATE's Evaristo Guasch in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tranqueras's goalie prevented a goal. Rudolfo Castreciones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Guasch in the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tranqueras's goalkeeper Rudolfo Castreciones, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Colas Carbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Guasch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Rudolfo Castreciones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Evaristo Guasch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. RIVER PLATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Guasch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evaristo Guasch made a kick off. Evaristo Guasch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Rudolfo Castreciones made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Evaristo Guasch managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. RIVER PLATE's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Guasch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudolfo Castreciones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tranqueras's defense didn't have a chance, in the 63rd minute, when Evaristo Guasch scored to the left of an out of position Rudolfo Castreciones, making the score, 1-1. After 70 played minutes Tranqueras got a freekick which was hit by Armando Angeriz. With his leg Rudolfo Castreciones managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when C.A. RIVER PLATE's Evaristo Guasch fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Xantalen Eliseo came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the C.A. RIVER PLATE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xantalen Eliseo couldn't finish the play. Evaristo Guasch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rudolfo Castreciones having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Evaristo Guasch put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rudolfo Castreciones. C.A. RIVER PLATE played a much better game than Tranqueras and deserved their victory. The Tranqueras players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
