With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Paniagua in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Federico Olaechea saved Itapeby AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mouricio Raireta in the 18th minute of play forced Itapeby AFC's goalkeeper Federico Olaechea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mouricio Raireta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Olaechea having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Itapeby AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arias Zapatero. 39 minutes into the game, Marco Paniagua was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itapeby AFC the free kick. Inocente Natos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Errando Cardarda helped the player get up and apologised. Federico Olaechea had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Mauricio Galguera's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
