The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Sacramento AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chuan Gatell. After having played for 4 minutes, Marco Paniagua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Paniagua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 6 minutes on the clock, Lamberto Lape commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sacramento AFC! The referee gave Montes a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mauricio Galguera, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Sacramento AFC's Adolfo Trabado. 0-1. When Obano Rotges came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Sacramento AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Obano Rotges couldn't finish the play. Marco Paniagua took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adolfo Trabado. Adolfo Trabado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After 33 minutes, Obano Rotges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sacramento AFC and the Montes players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sacramento AFC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Obano Rotges hit a great ball. If Mouricio Raireta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Paniagua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Obano Rotges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Federico Guardiola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Obano Rotges in the 55th minute of play forced Montes's goalkeeper Federico Guardiola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William Chapa hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Xulio Guillen took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Federico Guardiola. Montes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montes's Mauricio Galguera got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Mouricio Raireta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sacramento AFC's Adolfo Trabado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th match minute, Sacramento AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chuan Gatell to maneuver through the defense. Mouricio Raireta struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Adolfo Trabado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montes. Adolfo Trabado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mouricio Raireta in the 79th minute of the match. 0-3 became the score in the 80th minute when Mouricio Raireta elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Bittor Torralbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Caselles's late challenge caught a Sacramento AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinand Caselles helped the player get up and apologised. Ferdinand Caselles kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Pacifico Camarero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montes's supporters rose to their feet, but Pacifico Camarero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Trabado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Montes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
