Salamanca's Hernan Sarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karlos Baldaliso in the 24th minute of play. Seme Nobal hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ahogados booed when Salamanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Hernainz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inguma Obarenes made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Ekaitz Mijangos sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 44 minutes, Karlos Baldaliso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ahogados's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karlos Baldaliso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 53rd minute Ekaitz Mijangos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inguma Obarenes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perez Gallano in the 54th minute of play forced Ahogados's goalkeeper Inguma Obarenes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th match minute, Ahogados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karlos Baldaliso to maneuver through the defense. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 87 minutes into the match, Salamanca's Perez Gallano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inguma Obarenes narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
