With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christiano Peñacerrada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zosimo Calvon kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Cardoso's Gasteiz Gallega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Peñacerrada made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gai Obina in the 18th minute of play forced Ceibal's goalkeeper Christiano Peñacerrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Gai Obina notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ceibal's Christiano Peñacerrada. Christiano Peñacerrada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Geronimo Contera fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cardoso's protests and gave Geronimo Contera a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ceibal booed when Cardoso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Contera didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christiano Peñacerrada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geronimo Contera was shown his second yellow card after 40 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 41st minute, Geronimo Contera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christiano Peñacerrada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gasteiz Gallega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amato Araoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norino Barriga, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

After a rather tough play, Ceibal's Norino Barriga got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Gasteiz Gallega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gasteiz Gallega struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Christiano Peñacerrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardoso. 63 minutes into the match, Norino Barriga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amato Araoz. Cardoso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norino Barriga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Amato Araoz came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ceibal's Norino Barriga. But to his dismay, Norino Barriga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Fidele Aristeguieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Peñacerrada having to interfere. Christiano Peñacerrada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gasteiz Gallega in the 88th minute. Christiano Peñacerrada made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Gasteiz Gallega sent off a good shot on target. Simon Resamano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ceibal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
