After some careless play in the Vicheadero AFC defense, Petru Uduleanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Froylan Barcenilla. The Vicheadero AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Froylan Barcenilla should have stopped the shot. Javiar Almendras kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Carmelo's Conrao Lerena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Helguero in the 14th minute of play. Estevon Narbona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes, Roegelio Miramontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmelo and the Vicheadero AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roegelio Miramontes kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Ramiro Helguero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Carmelo's goalkeeper Conrao Lerena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo Licardi. Estevon Narbona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, Petru Uduleanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carmelo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 39 minutes into the match, Carmelo's Estevon Narbona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Froylan Barcenilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiro Helguero was the one to do the kick off. When Villiam Falstrøm fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmelo's protests and gave Villiam Falstrøm a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Carmelo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vicheadero AFC:s goal. Conrao Lerena had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Gustau Cabria's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 58th minute, Gustau Cabria made a precise shot to the right of Conrao Lerena. Carmelo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 63 minutes into the game, Petru Uduleanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Froylan Barcenilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the game, one of Vicheadero AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Carmelo a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Xarles Ares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vicheadero AFC's Froylan Barcenilla. 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Helguero in the 74th minute of play forced Carmelo's goalkeeper Conrao Lerena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Estevon Narbona in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Froylan Barcenilla saved Vicheadero AFC from getting behind. Froylan Barcenilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevon Narbona in the 86th minute of play. If Estevon Narbona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Carmelo booed when Vicheadero AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Olaondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes Carmelo got a freekick which was hit by Roegelio Miramontes. Niolaao Oviedo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Carmelo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Carmelo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
