Silverio Ribacoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Confercin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silverio Ribacoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Ontova, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Raul Confercin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Silverio Ribacoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yago Lama during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Raul Confercin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tengen Toppa's Silverio Ribacoba. Silverio Ribacoba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 26 played minutes Tengen Toppa got a freekick which was hit by Gabrio Albisu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gartzea Sancha during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Tengen Toppa getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Gartzea Sancha hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Grabiel Huarte sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tengen Toppa's Silverio Ribacoba didn't even have to move. Silverio Ribacoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Ontova in the 32nd minute of play. Firman Perdices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esdras Bolivar having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christiano Iraegui to make the kick off. Esdras Bolivar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Iraegui, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute of the match Tengen Toppa got a corner. Trinidad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Intxixu Gili ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tengen Toppa's Intxixu Gili was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Esdras Bolivar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Tengen Toppa's Gabrio Albisu got a free kick in the 58th minute. Raul Confercin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Tengen Toppa's zone, Alberto Ontova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Ribacoba came out of the goal and Alberto Ontova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esdras Bolivar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Firman Perdices in the 64th minute of play. If Alberto Ontova had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Tengen Toppa's goalkeeper Silverio Ribacoba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raul Confercin. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Silverio Ribacoba successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Raul Confercin came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Trinidad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raul Confercin couldn't finish the play. Esdras Bolivar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mincho Rovires hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Gartzea Sancha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Esdras Bolivar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Trinidad's Mincho Rovires got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Christiano Iraegui struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Esdras Bolivar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tengen Toppa. When Alberto Ontova came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Trinidad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Ontova couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
