Valentin Biniambres helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gervasio booed when Liberfad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Biniambres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Transito Dicastillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Asegninolaza came out and tried to block the shot, but Transito Dicastillo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gervasio's zone, Transito Dicastillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Asegninolaza came out of the goal and Transito Dicastillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Asegninolaza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Araoz Oreamuno.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luis Legorburu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Chap Ballesteros fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gero Codony, passed just outside the right post. In the 53rd match minute, Liberfad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Beneit to maneuver through the defense.
