Polanco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jimenez the free kick. 9 minutes into the match, Jimenez's goal looked a bit too open when Rios Caicedo came free, but Gartxot Buisante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victorio Redin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xacobo Barredo in the 47th minute of play forced Polanco's goalkeeper Asier Oyardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Gartxot Buisante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Redin in the 52nd minute of play. Gartxot Buisante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rios Caicedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rios Caicedo in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gartxot Buisante saved Jimenez from getting behind. If Rios Caicedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Rios Caicedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gartxot Buisante was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. With an all-out effort, Jimenez's Asier Oyardo threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Balendin Patiño, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 90th minute, Victorio Redin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erubiel Toledano kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Polanco players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
