The crowd rose to their feet as Herena Guereña kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Olentzaro Payon. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Generosb Letran came out of the goal and Gavino Gobeo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 21 minutes into the match, Yaguari's goalkeeper Olentzaro Payon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richie Ziarza. Yaguari's Olentzaro Payon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Yaguari from getting a goal against them. The long shot by Estebano Pozo in the 28th minute really tested Olentzaro Payon's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 31st minute Gavino Gobeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generosb Letran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richie Ziarza got free with Olentzaro Payon in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd minute, Herena Guereña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeremy Vilas's late challenge caught a Berruti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
