Pascoal Iriusta went to the wrong direction when Txerran Larrechi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Musi's Pascoal Iriusta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Musi from getting a goal against them. After 24 played minutes Musi got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Rial. Fertus Olate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Casal hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Gonzalo Goicoolea's late challenge caught a Chacarita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Goicoolea helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Musi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Goicoolea to maneuver through the defense. Mogel Fuerte charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mogel Fuerte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mogel Fuerte hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Musi's Mogel Fuerte got a free kick in the 38th minute. Eguen Espellosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Pascoal Iriusta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fertus Olate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Gonzalo Goicoolea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvator Ruano having to interfere. Fertus Olate kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 57thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Chacarita's keeper Salvator Ruano was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 61st minute, Eguen Espellosa made a precise shot to the right of Pascoal Iriusta. Musi's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Eguen Espellosa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 67 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Pascoal Iriusta was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Eguen Espellosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Musi's Fertus Olate got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gonzalo Goicoolea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvator Ruano having to interfere. Salvator Ruano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 90th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pablo Rial. Fertus Olate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvator Ruano having to interfere. If Gonzalo Goicoolea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Omero Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chacarita's supporters rose to their feet, but Omero Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pascoal Iriusta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Musi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chacarita.
