Zilar Senderos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvator Ruano having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Joanes Rosario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Suarez FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joanes Rosario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salvator Ruano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zilar Senderos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omero Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Omero Veloso fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Patxi Noguer, passed just outside the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eguen Espellosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Suarez FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Txerran Larrechi was slow to take the kick. During this time Chacarita's players had a chance to rest. Patxi Noguer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omero Veloso in the 60th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Paio Jibaja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvator Ruano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Suarez FC booed when Chacarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Casal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Zilar Senderos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zilar Senderos might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salvator Ruano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zilar Senderos ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Criston Teijelo during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Chacarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Criston Teijelo to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, Chacarita could leave the field as winners, despite Suarez FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
