Xuaco Zulueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodas Agulla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Atuxs United's goalkeeper Xuaco Zulueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodas Agulla. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Haritzeder Villamayor to make the kick off. Elazar Monelo hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. When Telo Ramires came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Nacional de Paysandu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telo Ramires couldn't finish the play. The referee ordered Herena Lavega off the ground. In the 92nd match minute, Atuxs United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herena Lavega to maneuver through the defense. Macario Barbero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xuaco Zulueta having to make a save.
