Servando Herro's late challenge caught a Nacional de Paysandu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Servando Herro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pavon's Servando Herro got a free kick in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Macario Barbero notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Pavon's Bartolo Cobian. Bartolo Cobian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute, Rodas Agulla fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bartolo Cobian, passed just outside the right post. When Macario Barbero came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Nacional de Paysandu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Macario Barbero couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Nacional de Paysandu defense, Eleazar Mandelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusko Enestrosa. The Nacional de Paysandu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusko Enestrosa should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Nacional de Paysandu booed when Pavon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Cantillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Macario Barbero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Bartolo Cobian made a huge save. In the 33rd minute Rodas Agulla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Cobian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleazar Mandelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maureo Morera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bartolo Cobian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manni Bolado in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusko Enestrosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eleazar Mandelo to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Nacional de Paysandu got a freekick which was hit by Elazar Monelo. Pavon's Primo Beltranilla couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nacional de Paysandu. The audience was convinced that Eleazar Mandelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eusko Enestrosa was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Eusko Enestrosa acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 63rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Primo Beltranilla. Macario Barbero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Cobian having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional de Paysandu's zone, Eleazar Mandelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusko Enestrosa came out of the goal and Eleazar Mandelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macario Barbero in the 71st minute of play forced Pavon's goalkeeper Bartolo Cobian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nacional de Paysandu's Rodas Agulla in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pavon's goalie prevented a goal. Manni Bolado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elazar Monelo during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elazar Monelo hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Eleazar Mandelo took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Eusko Enestrosa to make any attempt to save it. Macario Barbero struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Bartolo Cobian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional de Paysandu. Bartolo Cobian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodas Agulla in the 93rd minute of the match. Macario Barbero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolo Cobian having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Elazar Monelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eusko Enestrosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleazar Mandelo in the 97th minute of play.
