In the 22ndth minute of the game Evelio Sobero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sangre Azul FC's Xicu Davalillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Xicu Davalillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Sobero in the 24th minute of play. Guilllermo Robires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Secada having to interfere.
