The Pavon FC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Pavon FC's Bladi Gatell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 19 minutes, Bladi Gatell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pavon FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bladi Gatell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rio Briñas's late challenge caught a progreso's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rio Briñas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pavon FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rio Briñas hit a great ball. Iaki Minguez made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Ieltxu Moneo sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Pavon FC booed when progreso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Nogro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Pavon FC's Xabier Laurencio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Ieltxu Moneo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iaki Minguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batista Asturias, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Pavon FC's Iaki Minguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batista Asturias in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicanor Barriobero made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicanor Barriobero in the 51st minute of play forced progreso's goalkeeper Jeremy Alcolea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iaki Minguez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ieltxu Moneo in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Lander Repiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bladi Gatell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Batista Asturias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicanor Barriobero was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Pavon FC played a much better game than progreso and deserved their victory. The progreso players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
