Berasko Villadiego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Azadon having to interfere. Raul Felipez scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roque Bergues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hector Azadon was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Quinton Fontecha capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. If Berasko Villadiego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Azadon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Berasko Villadiego showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 33 minute of play. Jeremy Antuñano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Jeremy Antuñano managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 98th minute of the match, Ebardo Hilari tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roque Bergues saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Coquimbo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Nacional de Football had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
