Gillermo Medel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabrio Regules hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Pitin Domaquia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Gillermo Medel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Pitin Domaquia made a precise shot to the right of Gillermo Medel. Soto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 29 minutes, Haroldo Pando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MATRACA F.C. and the Soto players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Soto booed when MATRACA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Pando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pitin Domaquia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The MATRACA F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when MATRACA F.C.'s Delfino Bolaños looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 39th minute Jorrin Trabado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hulberto Cañucar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pitin Domaquia got free with Gillermo Medel in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Delfino Bolaños managed to get in a good position for a shot. MATRACA F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Delfino Bolaños was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gillermo Medel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Hulberto Cañucar came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorrin Trabado slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 56th minute. The supporters of MATRACA F.C. booed when Soto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lazaro Tobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delfino Bolaños might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gillermo Medel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delfino Bolaños ran back to his position shaking his head. After 67 minutes Soto's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eduardo Cisneros who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on MATRACA F.C.'s corner Eduardo Cisneros fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gillermo Medel quite easily take care of the ball. Pitin Domaquia's late challenge caught a Soto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pitin Domaquia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to MATRACA F.C. getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Pitin Domaquia hit a great ball. Haroldo Pando kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Gabrio Regules got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. MATRACA F.C.'s Hulberto Cañucar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorrin Trabado in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfino Bolaños in the 80th minute of play forced Soto's goalkeeper Gillermo Medel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Gabrio Regules could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Hulberto Cañucar however easily saved by the left post. Haroldo Pando hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Gabrio Regules came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Soto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabrio Regules couldn't finish the play. After having played for 86 minutes, Jorrin Trabado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorrin Trabado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 89 played minutes MATRACA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fresco Oropeza. 89 minutes into the match, Soto's Sotero Perales broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 91 played minutes MATRACA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Pando. The corner ended in Sotero Perales almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MATRACA F.C.'s Hulberto Cañucar did a great save. Delfino Bolaños sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
