Eyague Marti charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eyague Marti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Soto getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Eyague Marti hit a great ball. In the 19th minute, Edgardo Alvarez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gillermo Medel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgardo Alvarez in the 29th minute of the match. Jorrin Trabado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Zemario Aguinagalde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gomez Ugia during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Celestino Terminel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorrin Trabado made a kick off. Gillermo Medel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgardo Alvarez's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. If Edgardo Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gillermo Medel made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Celestino Terminel sent off a good shot on target. Soto's Gillermo Medel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Alvarez in the 69th minute of play. When Gomez Ugia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. A collision led to Soto getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gomez Ugia hit a great ball. Gillermo Medel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Alvarez in the 71st minute of play. Celestino Terminel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Gillermo Medel made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Soto's zone, Celestino Terminel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gillermo Medel came out of the goal and Celestino Terminel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gillermo Medel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Celestino Terminel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 76 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cufre FC's Cordero Pedrais got a free kick in the 80th minute. Gabrio Regules recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Soto's Gillermo Medel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artaldo Oviedo in the 86th minute of play. If Gabrio Regules had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Celestino Terminel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cufre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Terminel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute, Cufre FC's Edgardo Alvarez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gillermo Medel. Gillermo Medel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Cufre FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
