Xzavier Cascos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orland Barcenilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elias Ascorbe during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Palma booed when Heriberto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Ascorbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Harriet Somovilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xzavier Cascos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juanito Proaño in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Harriet Somovilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Palma booed when Heriberto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Espejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Juanito Proaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Palma's Orland Barcenilla in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Heriberto FC's goalie prevented a goal. Xzavier Cascos came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Palma's Juanito Proaño. But to his dismay, Juanito Proaño quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 58th match minute, Palma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claus Hoa to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes, Claus Hoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palma and the Heriberto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Claus Hoa hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Elias Ascorbe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hitz Mendiune. Palma's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Juanito Proaño recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orland Barcenilla succeeded in the game's 70th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Juanito Proaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christobal Abres kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Baldovino Almonte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baldovino Almonte struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Hitz Mendiune didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heriberto FC. After a rather tough play, Palma's Orland Barcenilla got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Heriberto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Admon Vialpando to maneuver through the defense. Xzavier Cascos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orland Barcenilla's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Palma's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
