Eskuin Teijeiro was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. Toledo FC:s Luis Sarro showed great skill when he stopped Fix Graells:s penalty. Luis Sarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rexino Yunibarbia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rexino Yunibarbia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Toledo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Zubillaga came free, but Luis Sarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tacuarembo's Miro Zubillaga got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rexino Yunibarbia took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luis Sarro. Luis Sarro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Miro Zubillaga came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Tacuarembo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miro Zubillaga couldn't finish the play. Miro Zubillaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Sarro having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natalio Sayas made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Reimundo Cañucar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toledo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reimundo Cañucar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 played minutes Toledo FC got a freekick which was hit by Reimundo Cañucar. A collision led to Tacuarembo getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gabriel Acereda hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Tacuarembo's Gabriel Acereda got a free kick in the 66th minute. Natalio Sayas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Serans having to interfere. Miro Zubillaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Luis Sarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toledo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
