The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Ferreira FC's Jorge Perero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolado Arijola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Merinos's Shepherd Porquera got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Jorge Perero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolado Arijola was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Ferreira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Mancina came free, but Ebardo Navariega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Baldovino Bausa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ebardo Navariega, passed just outside the right post. Ebardo Navariega made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Shepherd Porquera sent off a good shot on target. Ebardo Navariega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Mancina in the 31st minute of the match. Shepherd Porquera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The wind increased when Jorge Perero made the kick off in the second half. Paulino Mancina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldovino Bausa charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldovino Bausa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Ferreira FC got a freekick which was hit by Sotero Añel. Paulino Mancina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute Paulino Mancina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ebardo Navariega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulino Mancina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ebardo Navariega having to make a save. When Shepherd Porquera came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Merinos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shepherd Porquera couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Chan Maza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shepherd Porquera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ebardo Navariega read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Paulino Mancina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ebardo Navariega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Shepherd Porquera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ebardo Navariega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shepherd Porquera in the 75th minute of the match. A collision led to Merinos getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Solustiano Burriaga hit a great ball. 0-2 became the score in the 81st minute when Sotero Añel elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Jorge Perero received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolado Arijola came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorge Perero slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 84th minute. Chan Maza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolado Arijola having to interfere. After 89 played minutes Merinos got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Altuve. In the 90th minute, Chan Maza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rolado Arijola was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jorge Perero showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 93 minute of play. The Ferreira FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
