Celso Ozaeta didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gauargi Dolarea in the 17th minute of play forced Paralle FC's goalkeeper Ignazio Sanabria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Gauargi Dolarea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignazio Sanabria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Paralle FC's Zorion Guia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ederono Artieta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Bernard Rugama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ignazio Sanabria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zornin Cirarruista, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Zornin Cirarruista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignazio Sanabria having to interfere. If Mendebal Iturriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ederono Artieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrido Artadi in the 70th minute of the match.
