Spectators: 6690 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gauargi Dolarea started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Opilano Lizaso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ederono Artieta made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Xzaver Viguera sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gauargi Dolarea in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Mieses saved Mendoza FC from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Mendoza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zornin Cirarruista came free, but Fernando Mieses reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Gauargi Dolarea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Mieses was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 24 minutes into the game, Obano Cuello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ederono Artieta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th match minute, Mendoza FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Olañeta to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mendoza FC's zone, Gauargi Dolarea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Mieses came out of the goal and Gauargi Dolarea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ederono Artieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Havier Pellin in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Gauargi Dolarea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Mieses saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Zornin Cirarruista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmitas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zornin Cirarruista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Mieses breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Havier Pellin to strike the kick off in the second half. Zornin Cirarruista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zornin Cirarruista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fernando Mieses tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Zornin Cirarruista came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Palmitas AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zornin Cirarruista couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mendebal Iturriz in the 66th minute of play forced Mendoza FC's goalkeeper Fernando Mieses to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Havier Pellin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Xzaver Viguera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ederono Artieta was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 76 minutes into the match, Palmitas AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Havier Pellin came free, but Ederono Artieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Mieses made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gauargi Dolarea in the 78th minute of play. A collision led to Palmitas AFC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Serafin Quejo hit a great ball. When Xzaver Viguera came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Mendoza FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xzaver Viguera couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Palmitas AFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Waldir Arduengo hit a great ball.
