When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Gonzales Albizua took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tobias Muñoyerro to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Latorre booed when Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ekain Jara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Meendez Villajane hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Latorre's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzales Albizua came free, but Tobias Muñoyerro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Floresta's Bertol Parrondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cresitobalo Isasaga in the 45th minute of play. Cresitobalo Isasaga's late challenge caught a Floresta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cresitobalo Isasaga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Latorre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cresitobalo Isasaga to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzales Albizua in the 70th minute of play forced Latorre's goalkeeper Tobias Muñoyerro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
