Dolfo Mena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pacifico Pierredonda in the 4th minute. If Alonzo Aro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Correa AFC's goalkeeper Dolfo Mena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alonzo Aro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darwin AFC's Alonzo Aro got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pueblo Goite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramond Montesinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of Correa AFC booed when Darwin AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erramun Trigueros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, one of Darwin AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Darwin AFC. In the 24th minute there was a penalty for Correa AFC. Urbano Dorado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pueblo Goite. 0-1. Pueblo Goite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramond Montesinos in the 29th minute of play. Ramond Montesinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pueblo Goite having to interfere. Pueblo Goite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Arena's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alonzo Aro in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dolfo Mena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dolfo Mena didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 37th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Darwin AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Arena came free, but Pueblo Goite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Manuel Arena made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Darwin AFC's Alonzo Aro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dolfo Mena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Pacifico Pierredonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes Darwin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Erramun Trigueros. Dolfo Mena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Aro in the 63rd minute of the match. Pacifico Pierredonda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pueblo Goite didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Correa AFC's Manuel Arena shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-2 in the ordered_time% minute. If Pacifico Pierredonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Correa AFC's Dolfo Mena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Aro in the 93rd minute of play.
