In the 7th minute Cisco Heban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Rugama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita's zone, Cisco Heban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dani Rugama came out of the goal and Cisco Heban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Cisco Heban who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chacarita's Dani Rugama was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teyo Elvira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bixintxo Sereno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cilio Ocariz in the 15th minute of play forced Sauce AFC's goalkeeper Teyo Elvira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teyo Elvira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cilio Ocariz, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Sauce AFC's Ixidor Forteza broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 36th minute, Dolcet Serna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sauce AFC booed when Chacarita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolcet Serna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Cisco Heban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sauce AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cisco Heban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dani Rugama breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ariando Fariña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 46 played minutes Chacarita got a freekick which was hit by Dolcet Serna. Chacarita's Dani Rugama proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Chacarita from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cisco Heban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Chacarita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Orejo to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Cisco Heban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Rugama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cilio Ocariz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Chacarita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cilio Ocariz couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sauce AFC's Arnoldo Candano got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Cilio Ocariz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teyo Elvira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Teyo Elvira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bixintxo Sereno in the 66th minute. Bixintxo Sereno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bixintxo Sereno, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 85 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Teyo Elvira was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sauce AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Cilio Ocariz scored to the left of an out of position Teyo Elvira, making the score, 0-2. The Chacarita players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
