An unexpectedly hard shot by Birila Pertierra in the 4th minute of play forced Liga Deportiva Univ.'s goalkeeper Oton Vozmediana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Conrado Nanclares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oton Vozmediana. Liga Deportiva Univ.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Conrado Nanclares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Buricayupi's Conrado Nanclares got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liga Deportiva Univ.'s Oton Vozmediana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birila Pertierra in the 12th minute of play. Oton Vozmediana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Nanclares, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Liga Deportiva Univ.'s Errolan Larrave got a free kick in the 20th minute. If Birila Pertierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Buricayupi's Birila Pertierra in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 41st minute Conrado Nanclares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oton Vozmediana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Liga Deportiva Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Alvarado came free, but Oton Vozmediana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Conrado Nanclares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Birila Pertierra was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conrado Nanclares got free with Oton Vozmediana in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Birila Pertierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. James Llopiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Serafin Escalona tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birila Pertierra struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Oton Vozmediana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buricayupi. 66 minutes into the match, Buricayupi's Birila Pertierra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oton Vozmediana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Birila Pertierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Conrado Nanclares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Oton Vozmediana made a huge save. Oton Vozmediana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birila Pertierra in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Conrado Nanclares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buricayupi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Oton Vozmediana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birila Pertierra in the 82nd minute of the match. Conrado Nanclares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Oton Vozmediana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birila Pertierra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Liga Deportiva Univ. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Buricayupi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
