With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Tubia in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Heneses saved CLESTE from getting behind. When Inocente Villaciergo came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Piedras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inocente Villaciergo couldn't finish the play. Carlo Tubia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Heneses having to interfere. The supporters of Piedras FC booed when CLESTE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xayveon Dehesa didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to CLESTE getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Quentin Voces hit a great ball. Inocente Villaciergo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Inocente Villaciergo might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Heneses. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inocente Villaciergo ran back to his position shaking his head. Inocente Villaciergo scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Heneses, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Inocente Villaciergo came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Piedras FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inocente Villaciergo couldn't finish the play. If Inocente Villaciergo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The CLESTE players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Piedras FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bidun Bustio to make the kick off. Ramiro Correa's late challenge caught a CLESTE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramiro Correa helped the player get up and apologised. Ramiro Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Eduardo Heneses took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zigor Riguera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 58 minutes, Carlo Tubia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piedras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo Tubia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Carlo Tubia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Carlo Tubia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Heneses was relentless in the 79th minute of the game.
