The referee ignored Santos Urdinarán's protests and gave Cordario Afonte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th minute, Cristofor Parserises hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute of the match Lain Reguero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moise Londoño skillfully saved the ball. Salomon Amezaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 minutes of play, Salto FC's Muc Basanta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Moise Londoño was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Muc Basanta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bitxintxo Bares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Moise Londoño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Santos Urdinarán's goal looked a bit too open when Bitxintxo Bares came free, but Moise Londoño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muc Basanta in the 35th minute of play forced Santos Urdinarán's goalkeeper Moise Londoño to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Walme Ripalta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bitxintxo Bares to make the kick off. Santos Urdinarán's Moise Londoño played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bitxintxo Bares in the 51st minute of play. Michael Aguileta kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 58th minute Bitxintxo Bares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moise Londoño saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Santos Urdinarán's goal looked a bit too open when Bitxintxo Bares came free, but Moise Londoño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moise Londoño showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bitxintxo Bares in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, Santos Urdinarán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristofor Parserises to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Santos Urdinarán's Moise Londoño got control of the ball when Ado Sobaler tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moise Londoño prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moise Londoño made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muc Basanta in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th match minute, Santos Urdinarán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salomon Amezaga to maneuver through the defense. Muc Basanta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Moise Londoño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Ebardo Chamorro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bitxintxo Bares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Urdinarán's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bitxintxo Bares 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. The supporters of Salto FC booed when Santos Urdinarán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ebardo Chamorro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
