But to his dismay, Fidensio Calzada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee gave MELO F.C. a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Maju Astiago, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vera's Cortez Ursua. 1-2. In the 20th match minute, MELO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Irala to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Ugaitz Placencia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ugaitz Placencia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Fidensio Calzada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Maurino Mancobo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ugaitz Placencia kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Maurino Mancobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ugaitz Placencia in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Diego Traspuesto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MELO F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vera the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andy Irala during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vera booed when MELO F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andy Irala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurino Mancobo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ugaitz Placencia's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. If Fidensio Calzada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maurino Mancobo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimas Echaez in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Natanael Navaes was the one to do the kick off. Cortez Ursua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Irala in the 54th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fidensio Calzada got free with Maurino Mancobo in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes into the match, Vera's goal looked a bit too open when Natanael Navaes came free, but Cortez Ursua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurino Mancobo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ugaitz Placencia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlomagno Claveria struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Cortez Ursua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MELO F.C.. Lizer Fururia hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When MELO F.C.'s Natanael Navaes in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vera's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ugaitz Placencia in the 74th minute of play forced MELO F.C.'s goalkeeper Maurino Mancobo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Dimas Echaez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Maju Astiago sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vera's Cortez Ursua didn't even have to move. In the 80th minute, Fidensio Calzada reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maurino Mancobo. The goal made the score 1-4. Diego Traspuesto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Cortez Ursua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, MELO F.C.'s Maurino Mancobo got control of the ball when Fidensio Calzada tried to sneak it across the goal line.
