Lluis Laureano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Mannie Bultes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Guerrero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Bricianos came free, but Tercero Arzallos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match Theodore Leyva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tercero Arzallos skillfully saved the ball. Guerrero FC's Lluis Laureano got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Guerrero FC booed when Porvenir AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonza Andolz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
