Ariando Camerin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rai Tizon in the 8th minute. Rai Tizon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ariando Camerin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Palmitas FC's Osvaldo Juanes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mambru Cotilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ariando Camerin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Titos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rai Tizon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Juanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garaile Escamilla kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Cerro Largo F. C. defense, Manuel Soporta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mambru Cotilla. The Cerro Largo F. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mambru Cotilla should have stopped the shot. Ariando Camerin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Titos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Juanes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mambru Cotilla was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. If Manuel Soporta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 42 minutes into the match, Palmitas FC's goalkeeper Ariando Camerin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rai Tizon.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lisandro Titos made a kick off. If Lisandro Titos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 minutes, Osvaldo Juanes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palmitas FC and the Cerro Largo F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Osvaldo Juanes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the game, Dorio Bausa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmitas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerro Largo F. C. the free kick. In the 59th minute, Dorio Bausa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute Rai Tizon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariando Camerin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariando Camerin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Titos in the 66th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Soporta got free with Mambru Cotilla in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Palmitas FC's Dorio Bausa got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Dorio Bausa off the ground. In the 76th match minute, Palmitas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorio Bausa to maneuver through the defense. When Lisandro Titos came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Cerro Largo F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Titos couldn't finish the play. Cerro Largo F. C.'s Mambru Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Cerro Largo F. C. from getting a goal against them. Garaile Escamilla hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience cheered loudly when Martxelin Lavandera's long shot in the 89th minute became 0-2 when the ball went to the left of and passed Mambru Cotilla. Manuel Soporta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cerro Largo F. C.'s zone, Manuel Soporta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mambru Cotilla came out of the goal and Manuel Soporta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Palmitas FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
