Lavaderos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Torrascasana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Bero Llain stood somewhat misplaced when Sebastian Tavera came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 72 minute. 76 minutes into the match, Lavaderos's goalkeeper Bero Llain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walme Latonero. Ceandro Cano scored 2-1 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xian Zotes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ladislao Frias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bero Llain having to interfere. Verdun FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
