Piedras's Cidro Burcena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Piedras from getting a goal against them. Montes Brau struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Cidro Burcena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soriano. Brun Elberdin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Carmelo Gondian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Piedras's Brun Elberdin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Carmelo Gondian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ostadar Cubillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geleberto Norzagarays short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Cidro Burcena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Piedras's zone, Montes Brau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cidro Burcena came out of the goal and Montes Brau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brun Elberdin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Gondian having to interfere. Piedras's Cidro Burcena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montes Brau in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Montes Brau made the kick off in the second half. Carmelo Gondian was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yago Nava showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 51 minute of play.
