Eutor Cela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidele Dorado having to interfere. The supporters of Soriano booed when San Gabriel F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurilio Agriano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Geleberto Norzagaray got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. San Gabriel F.C's Bertol Macua got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nerio Andujar struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Carmelo Gondian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Gabriel F.C. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Bertol Macua managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Gabriel F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertol Macua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Gondian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the San Gabriel F.C defense, Montes Brau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fidele Dorado. The San Gabriel F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fidele Dorado should have stopped the shot. Montes Brau struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Fidele Dorado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soriano. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soriano's goalkeeper Carmelo Gondian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The long shot by Wilfredo Vall in the 42nd minute really tested Carmelo Gondian's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Peru Montez charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peru Montez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd minute, Peru Montez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bertol Macua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nerio Andujar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Carmelo Gondian made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Montes Brau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurilio Agriano during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, San Gabriel F.C's Maurilio Agriano got a free kick in the 54th minute. Peru Montez hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Geleberto Norzagaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Soriano's Montes Brau in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Gabriel F.C's goalie prevented a goal. In the 68th match minute, San Gabriel F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Geleberto Norzagaray took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Fidele Dorado to make any attempt to save it. Soriano's Geleberto Norzagaray got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Geleberto Norzagaray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Montes Brau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidele Dorado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. San Gabriel F.C's Fidele Dorado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montes Brau in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Montes Brau dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fidele Dorado, 0-3. 93 minutes into the game, San Gabriel F.C's Nerio Andujar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carmelo Gondian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When the match was over Soriano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than San Gabriel F.C throughout the match.
