Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mannie Raireta started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frasco Navaes in the 3rd minute of play forced Young's goalkeeper Indalecio Pedreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timoteo Torron recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mannie Raireta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honorato Zuya in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Macerio Barrillos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Young's goalkeeper Indalecio Pedreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pitin Digon. Indalecio Pedreira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frasco Navaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Frasco Navaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Indalecio Pedreira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Indalecio Pedreira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pitin Digon went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Pitin Digon came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Minas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pitin Digon couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Young's goalkeeper Indalecio Pedreira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Young booed when Minas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sanabria didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frasco Navaes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Frasco Navaes made a precise shot to the right of Indalecio Pedreira. Young's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The Young fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Young's Mannie Raireta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 62nd match minute, Young was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Zuya to maneuver through the defense. 4-1 became the score in the 63rd minute when Pitin Digon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Venceslao Solarriba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Indalecio Pedreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. After having played for 78 minutes, Mannie Raireta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Young's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mannie Raireta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Minas FC's Macerio Barrillos got control of the ball when Timoteo Torron tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Minas FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Venceslao Solarriba hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Young's zone, Pitin Digon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Indalecio Pedreira came out of the goal and Pitin Digon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Indalecio Pedreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frasco Navaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When Minas FC's Frasco Navaes in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Young's goalie prevented a goal. Minas FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
