A. D. Montes de Solymar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C.A.Yaguarí the free kick. In the 3rd minute, one of A. D. Montes de Solymar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A. D. Montes de Solymar. Tonio Pazo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Sena in the 6th minute of the match. Nazario Eraso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tolek Sidorowicz in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the A. D. Montes de Solymar defense, Tolek Sidorowicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nazario Eraso. The A. D. Montes de Solymar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nazario Eraso should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Javier Tajo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.Yaguarí's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Tajo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nazario Eraso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niolaao Luna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolek Sidorowicz in the 19th minute of play forced A. D. Montes de Solymar's goalkeeper Nazario Eraso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niolaao Luna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nazario Eraso having to interfere. After 21 played minutes A. D. Montes de Solymar got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Persoens. Niolaao Luna kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Frederico Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tonio Pazo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fortunato Montemayor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Tonio Pazo made a huge save. A. D. Montes de Solymar's Nazario Eraso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Sidorowicz in the 34th minute of play. Nazario Eraso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolek Sidorowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remir Nobajas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Tonio Pazo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half C.A.Yaguarí were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tolek Sidorowicz made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico Sena in the 53rd minute of play forced C.A.Yaguarí's goalkeeper Tonio Pazo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frederico Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fortunato Montemayor hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Fortunato Montemayor scored 1-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tonio Pazo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Frederico Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Tonio Pazo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Henrique Besteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Fortunato Montemayor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tonio Pazo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, C.A.Yaguarí's Javier Tajo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nazario Eraso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. A. D. Montes de Solymar's Bernardo Melgar was substituted for Henrique Besteiro. A. D. Montes de Solymar's Marco Mir was substituted for Frederico Sena. A. D. Montes de Solymar's Marco Mir got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Melgar in the 84th minute of play forced C.A.Yaguarí's goalkeeper Tonio Pazo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The C.A.Yaguarí supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.A.Yaguarí would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
