Rosendo Surga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mazuste Olan's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 23rd minute, Celino Galnares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martinote's Ekhi Haza got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Mazuste Olan got free in front of the goal in the 26th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Rosendo Surga was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Mazuste Olan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rosendo Surga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Escorcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Surga having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Martinote's zone, Mazuste Olan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Surga came out of the goal and Mazuste Olan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rosendo Surga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mazuste Olan's shot from short distance in the 39th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mazuste Olan to make the kick off. Ekhi Haza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 53 minutes into the match, Martinote's goalkeeper Rosendo Surga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mazuste Olan. In the 64th minute, Mazuste Olan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 66th match minute, Peñarol es Quemar! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celino Galnares to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Isadore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iyan Guardamiño, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Aurelio Isadore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ekhi Haza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mazuste Olan in the 75th managed to get into a good position. If Joel Escorcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When David Tudela came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Peñarol es Quemar! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Tudela couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd minute Iyan Guardamiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Isadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Martinote booed when Peñarol es Quemar! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mazuste Olan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Mazuste Olan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rosendo Surga was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The Martinote fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peñarol es Quemar! were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
