Seme Lariz's late challenge caught a Maronas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Seme Lariz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Maronas booed when C.A. Sayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Seme Lariz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7thth minute of the game Elpidio Mouricio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maronas's Edgardo Espinareda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sauveur Feijoo scored 1-0 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgardo Espinareda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Mouricio in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Espinareda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Maronas booed when C.A. Maronas's Kiliz Agüero couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for C.A. Sayo. Elpidio Mouricio succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. After 35 played minutes C.A. Sayo got a freekick which was hit by Edorta Honorato. A collision led to Maronas getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Apolo Tehas hit a great ball. Elpidio Mouricio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgardo Espinareda having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Sauveur Feijoo managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Sayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Sauveur Feijoo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Espinareda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Maronas getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Castulo Sarria hit a great ball. Edgardo Espinareda made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Sauveur Feijoo sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elpidio Mouricio to strike the kick off in the second half. Enol Almaguer charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enol Almaguer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Maronas's Enol Almaguer got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 60 minutes into the match, Maronas's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Mouricio came free, but Edgardo Espinareda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Elpidio Mouricio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Maronas's Edgardo Espinareda. Edgardo Espinareda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 65 minutes into the match, C.A. Sayo's Sauveur Feijoo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Espinareda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Seme Lariz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgardo Espinareda was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. C.A. Sayo made a substitution. Pedro Bas replaced Elpidio Mouricio. Maronas's Edgardo Espinareda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Bas in the 83rd minute of play. Edgardo Espinareda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sauveur Feijoo in the 84th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Pedro Bas in the 88th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. C.A. Sayo's Xian Mostoles was substituted for Sauveur Feijoo. Edgardo Espinareda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Bas, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Xian Mostoles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. C.A. Sayo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
