When Vicente Rigueiro fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paysandu's protests and gave Vicente Rigueiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th minute, Vicente Rigueiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ambrosio Bardon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 22 in the game by Maule Vidanes from a close distance when the talented Berenguer Salero managed to make a qualified save. Paysandu's players were relieved. Christobal Cerda hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apolo Somiedo in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pau Jaramillo saved Daltonr from getting behind. Maule Vidanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berenguer Salero having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Apolo Somiedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pau Jaramillo. Daltonr's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Apolo Somiedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Oxarra Cura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Daltonr's goal looked a bit too open when Oxarra Cura came free, but Pau Jaramillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vicente Rigueiro came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Paysandu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Rigueiro couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Apolo Somiedo to make the kick off. Ambrosio Bardon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oxarra Cura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Pau Jaramillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Guillen Constante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, Daltonr's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Apolo Somiedo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Maule Vidanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maule Vidanes struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Berenguer Salero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Daltonr. In the 74th minute, Ambrosio Bardon made a precise shot to the right of Berenguer Salero. Paysandu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When Astor Lecin fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daltonr's protests and gave Astor Lecin a yellow card for diving instead. Berenguer Salero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Bardon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christobal Cerda hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ambrosio Bardon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Daltonr's supporters rose to their feet, but Ambrosio Bardon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Berenguer Salero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uhin Esteban kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Oxarra Cura struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Pau Jaramillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paysandu. Mateus Bernabe kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Daltonr's goalkeeper Pau Jaramillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Mateus Bernabe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Daltonr's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paysandu the free kick. The supporters of Paysandu booed when Daltonr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Bernabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daltonr's Pau Jaramillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apolo Somiedo in the 97th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Paysandu walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
