In the last second Americo Archuleta throw himself and got hold of the ball when Apolo Somiedo in the 3rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 13th minute, Rios Fias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sugar Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Umbruso Montarco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Berenguer Salero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Apolo Somiedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute, Sugar Fernandes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Medina FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Umbruso Montarco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berenguer Salero having to interfere. The Paysandu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Medina FC were winning 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Umbruso Montarco made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Christobal Cerda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Americo Archuleta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umbruso Montarco in the 58th minute of play forced Paysandu's goalkeeper Berenguer Salero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sugar Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Paysandu's goal looked a bit too open when Umbruso Montarco came free, but Berenguer Salero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Medina FC's Sugar Fernandes got a free kick in the 64th minute. Americo Archuleta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Somiedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 69th minute Apolo Somiedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Americo Archuleta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Medina FC's goalkeeper Americo Archuleta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Americo Archuleta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Somiedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Paysandu got a freekick which was hit by Armando Castañedo. Christobal Cerda kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Medina FC's Umbruso Montarco got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Umbruso Montarco struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Berenguer Salero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Medina FC.
