Montevideo's Vicemte Aedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Bulnes in the 15th minute of play. Romulo Palianza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Onofre Mobellan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romulo Palianza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st match minute, Novillos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zavior Lossada to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Jakue Casas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Novillos FC's Onofre Mobellan. Onofre Mobellan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jakue Casas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zavior Lossada hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Novillos FC's zone, Romulo Palianza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Onofre Mobellan came out of the goal and Romulo Palianza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Brais Pimentel fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novillos FC's protests and gave Brais Pimentel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th match minute, Novillos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brais Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. Vicemte Aedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil Bulnes in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jakue Casas to make the kick off. Romulo Palianza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onofre Mobellan having to interfere. Romulo Palianza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jakue Casas's late challenge caught a Novillos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jakue Casas helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Montevideo getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Jakue Casas hit a great ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Jakue Casas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Novillos FC's Onofre Mobellan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Romulo Palianza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Onofre Mobellan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jakue Casas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Onofre Mobellan was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. If Tiniebra Giumill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Jakue Casas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Onofre Mobellan. Jakue Casas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Montevideo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
