Novillos FC's Onofre Mobellan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olando Sauca in the 22nd minute of play. Tiniebra Giumill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Martelo having to interfere. Modesto Martelo made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Tiniebra Giumill sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iratzeder Aleso in the 34th minute of play forced Novillos FC's goalkeeper Onofre Mobellan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Greco's zone, Gil Bulnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Modesto Martelo came out of the goal and Gil Bulnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugo Berrueta hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gil Bulnes made a kick off. Abel Cabaña charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Cabaña the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 56th match minute, Novillos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Cabaña to maneuver through the defense. Iratzeder Aleso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Onofre Mobellan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiniebra Giumill couldn't finish the play. Gil Bulnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Martelo having to interfere. Modesto Martelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiniebra Giumill, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Olando Sauca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Novillos FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Berrueta. If Iratzeder Aleso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute.
