The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiniebra Giumill got free with Andres Juan in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiniebra Giumill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andres Juan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Bulnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Eulalio Sandoval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Onofre Mobellan made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Eulalio Sandoval sent off a good shot on target. Hugo Berrueta kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Eulalio Sandoval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute of the match Brais Pimentel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andres Juan skillfully saved the ball.
