Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Felipillo Rabanal took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Albino Vallejo got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 9 played minutes, Montevideo's Mark Urturi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andres Juan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montevideo reached it. In the 15th minute, Romulo Palianza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andres Juan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jakue Casas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andres Juan having to make a save. 2-0 became the score in the 34th minute when Jakue Casas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Mergildo Miquelarena got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Eulalio Sandoval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicemte Aedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jakue Casas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Andres Juan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andres Juan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakue Casas in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jakue Casas was the one to do the kick off. Romulo Palianza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Andres Juan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57thth minute of the game Mergildo Miquelarena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Constitution's Andres Juan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andres Juan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jakue Casas's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Constitution's goal looked a bit too open when Romulo Palianza came free, but Andres Juan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 played minutes, Montevideo's Albino Vallejo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andres Juan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Romulo Palianza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Constitution was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marin Aguinaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, one of Constitution:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Constitution. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Montevideo. Xan Novales stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andres Juan. 3-0. The supporters of Montevideo booed when Constitution was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ranolfo Valcazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xan Novales took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 98th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andres Juan. Constitution's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Montevideo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
