Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gaudencio Bartuelo started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Rodolfo Grolet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Bartuelo in the 7th minute of play forced C.A Peñarol's goalkeeper Estefan Oteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Gomensoro FC's goalkeeper Humberto Pro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iyan Rocafort. Tipi Castaneda kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Estefan Oteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Bartuelo in the 14th minute of the match. Estefan Oteo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lopez Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodney Carnero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Humberto Pro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Indar Hernainz kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lopez Silveira in the 21st minute of play forced C.A Peñarol's goalkeeper Estefan Oteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th match minute, C.A Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iyan Rocafort to maneuver through the defense. Estefan Oteo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Bartuelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute, Lopez Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Estefan Oteo. C.A Peñarol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 33 minutes, Richie Besosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gomensoro FC and the C.A Peñarol players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 34 minutes, Indar Hernainz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A Peñarol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Indar Hernainz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lopez Silveira struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Estefan Oteo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gomensoro FC. In the 42nd minute, Gaudencio Bartuelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gomensoro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Indalecio Telego made a kick off. Estefan Oteo made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Gaudencio Bartuelo sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in C.A Peñarol's zone, Lopez Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Estefan Oteo came out of the goal and Lopez Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, C.A Peñarol's Tipi Castaneda got a free kick in the 61st minute. Estefan Oteo made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Gaudencio Bartuelo sent off a good shot on target. After 63 minutes C.A Peñarol's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bermund Arrizabalaga who took care of the corner kick. If Gaudencio Bartuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lopez Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estefan Oteo having to interfere. C.A Peñarol's Indalecio Telego got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iyan Rocafort's late challenge caught a Gomensoro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iyan Rocafort helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, C.A Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iyan Rocafort to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Gaudencio Bartuelo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of C.A Peñarol booed when Gomensoro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lopez Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Gomensoro FC's Manolito Alzolaras got a free kick in the 76th minute. Bermund Arrizabalaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gomensoro FC's Humberto Pro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indalecio Telego in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Lopez Silveira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Estefan Oteo. The goal made the score 0-3. Indalecio Telego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Humberto Pro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Firman Rujula kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Rodney Carnero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Pro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
