Xzavion Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Rocandio charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denis Rocandio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carmen FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Denis Rocandio hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Domenec Artiz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Santiago AFC's Nuno Barrionuevo. Nuno Barrionuevo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Xzavion Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago AFC's attack was well implemented in the 27th minute, but when Xzavion Jesus was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 29th minute, Denis Rocandio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severiano Gallegos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcones Barbanera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Severiano Gallegos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcones Barbanera having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Domenec Artiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carmen FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tome Pozo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tome Pozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Santiago AFC's Aires Saribiarte got a free kick in the 57th minute. Domenec Artiz came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nuno Barrionuevo could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Gallegos in the 64th minute of play forced Carmen FC's goalkeeper Marcones Barbanera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Xzavion Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Severiano Gallegos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Marcones Barbanera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Fraco Valbas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santiago AFC and the Carmen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Carmen FC booed when Santiago AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fraco Valbas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Santiago AFC's Xzavion Jesus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcones Barbanera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tome Pozo in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Barrionuevo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcones Barbanera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xzavion Jesus's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Xzavion Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santiago AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xzavion Jesus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xzavion Jesus took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcones Barbanera. Marcones Barbanera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After some careless play in the Carmen FC defense, Severiano Gallegos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcones Barbanera. The Carmen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcones Barbanera should have stopped the shot. In the 99thth minute of the game Severiano Gallegos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carmen FC's Marcones Barbanera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santiago AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
