Hug Sayavedra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vinicio Santillana's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Artur Larrategui took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chap Mendiune. Chap Mendiune dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Chap Mendiune made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Larrategui in the 38th minute. In the 38th match minute, Uruguai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txatxu Ibarlucea to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lunarejo FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Mazuste Gorria hit a great ball. After 46 played minutes, Uruguai's Orland Merodo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hug Sayavedra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uruguai reached it. If Vinicio Santillana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Artur Larrategui stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Zuhaitz Pañizares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 played minutes Uruguai got a freekick which was hit by Txatxu Ibarlucea. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Artur Larrategui managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunarejo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Larrategui was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chap Mendiune breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguai's zone, Itzaina Taviel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chap Mendiune came out of the goal and Itzaina Taviel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evelio Fresnedo hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, Artur Larrategui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Artur Larrategui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Larrategui received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Chap Mendiune tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Baladi Pasqua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lunarejo FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
