Porvenir AFC's Adan Artadi got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efren Castrillon in the 19th minute of play forced Porvenir AFC's goalkeeper Melchor Laredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskitz Larrave hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some careless play in the Valhalla defense, Leo Cervilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ekaitz Freijo. The Valhalla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ekaitz Freijo should have stopped the shot.
